Designing Learning Environments

In this course I learned about and applied the ADDIE instructional design model to create training for a peer group in my school. I also explored other fields, including the use of visuals and motivation theory, to study their relationship with instructional design. This video, which you can also find in my first blog post on the ADDIE model, provides a helpful overview of the five phases in ADDIE.

Based on a population and needs survey, the analysis “A” phase of ADDIE, I elected to design a training module for paraprofessionals on the reading anchor standards of the Common Core State Standards. Below are the two elements of my final project: the paper detailing the training according to the ADDIE model, and a storyboard that will give you a preview of what the actual training presentation will look like.
